As I do every month, I take a look ahead at comics being solicited for publication in two months' time. I take a loot at all the items I might have an interest in, or, in some cases, thinks I most definitely have no interest in. DC and Marvel are usually first out the gate, this will be updated as Dark Horse, Image and others get their solicits released.
DC
_ FINAL CRISIS #3 - I think neat! Rock Me Amadeus!_ FINAL CRISIS: REQUIEM #1 - Kay, I'm not saying I'd buy it, but who d'ya thinks dead with a preview image of flames and a solicit like "one-shot honoring the passing of a great hero who's been a staple in the DC Universe for years"?
_ FINAL CRISIS: ROGUES' REVENGE #1 - not sure if I care.
_ AMBUSH BUG: YEAR NONE #1 - I'll say this now, it's a comic I'd consider quitting BNY for. Seriously. Somebody better do something
_ BATMAN #679 - still curious and waiting for trade in '09
_ SUPERMAN #678 - was interested last month in James Robinson's return, but, meh.
_ DETECTIVE COMICS #846 - "the return of Hush?" Oh Paul Dini, bleh, I say. Bleh.
_ BLUE BEETLE #29 - a new writer...? I still miss the old one.
_ BATMAN AND THE OUTSIDERS #9 - "the return of Looker"...? Aw, jesus, you can drop this any time sweetie.
_ BOOSTER GOLD #1,000,000 - Damn, now my complete collection of DC 1,000,000 is incomplete. Fiddlesticks.
_ GREEN ARROW/BLACK CANARY #10 - I noticed Cliff Chiang isn't on this title any more, but Mike Norton's a pretty bang-on substitute.
_ JUSTICE SOCIETY OF AMERICA ANNUAL #1 - Earth 2's back. Uh oh.
_ ALL STAR SUPERMAN VOL. 1 TP - It's only been about a 18 months since the Hardcover came out
_ SIMON DARK: WHAT SIMON DOES TP - heard surprisingly good things about this.
_ DR. FATE: COUNTDOWN TO MYSTERY TP - Steve Gerber's last work, mildly unfinished, a curiosity at best since I wasn't much of a fan (born 15 years too late, methinks).
_ SUICIDE SQUAD: FROM THE ASHES TP - I just got all the issues, but worth noting for those that passed it by... it's awesome!
_ MILLENNIUM TP - Seriously? DC's third "big event" was, how shaw we say, pathetic? Limp? Weak? Flaccid? Pass.
_ INVASION TP - This on the other hand, DC's fourth "big event" I have fond, fond memories of. It kind of holds up.
_ BILLY BATSON AND THE MAGIC OF SHAZAM! #1 - for kids but looks Kewl. A much needed refresher for Captain Marvel.
Wildstorm
_ EX MACHINA #38 - 'til 2009, my friend.
_ MIDNIGHTER VOL. 2: ANTHEM TP - the Giffen run...
Vertigo
_ THE ALCOHOLIC HC - sounds quite fascinating.
_ 100 BULLETS #93 - countdown has begun. T -7
OMG YES!
Marvel
_ CAPTAIN AMERICA #40 - keep it coming Brubaker, you've got me reading a title of a character I care nothing about and loving it_ ETERNALS #2, GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY #3, NOVA #15, IRON MAN: VIVA LAS VEGAS #3 (of 4), MARVEL 1985 #3 (of 5)
_ newuniversal: 1959 - written by Phonogram's Kieron Gillen... so I'm interested, but I need to read regular newuniversal still.
_ X-FACTOR #33 - Secret Invasion Tie-in and She-Hulk crossover. Sigh.
_ NOVA VOL. 2: KNOWHERE TPB - Collects #8 - 12 + Annual #1... I already have 8 and 9, but this'll still probably be cheaper than picking up back-issues...?

_COMIC BOOK TATTOO OGN - a comic book derived from the songs of Tori Amos. 17-year-old Graig would have shed tears of joy. 31-year-old Graig just shakes his head at the thought of 17-year-old Graig._ POPGUN, VOL. 2 OGN - I love the idea of a "mixtap" comic, but I missed out on the first one and am not really sure if it's any different from the usual mixbag that are anthologies.
_THE UNEARTHED CEMETERY BLUES, VOL. 1 TP - I love the mini, but since I got it for free from the illustrator, I think I should pay for it... "PLUS, it includes two unpublished tales of Ridley and Falstaff". Sign me up. You should sign up too.
_ A RED MASS FOR MARS #2 (of 4) - uh huh
_ WAR HEROES #2 (of 6) - maybe
